History
Founded in June 2004, Pink Visual evolved out of the formerly established TopBucks webmaster affiliate program, which gave Pink Visual the content and marketing resources to launch into the DVD market. Pink Visual currently has over 300 titles in its portfolio. Typically it releases eight to ten new titles monthly throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
On February 4, 2009, Pink Visual offered a $10 discount on selected sites in "compensation for (the) Super Bowl porn mishap" in which Tucson, AZ area Comcast customers had their service interrupted for 30 seconds by an uncensored Pink Visual video.
In September 2009, Pink Visual president, Allison Vivas, was selected by Newt Gingrich's group, American Solutions for Winning the Future to receive the group's “Entrepreneur of the Year” for 2009. The award offer was rescinded, presumably after Gingrich's group was informed regarding Pink Visual's background. Vivas consequently turned the tables on Gingrich by offering him the "Family Values Porn Fan of the Year" award.
In 2010, Vivas was selected by Newsweek magazine to comment on their Decade In Rewind project as part of Newsweek's list of the decades biggest sex scandals.
In 2012, Vivas wrote a book entitled Making Peace with Porn: Adult Entertainment and Your Guy, published through Hunter House Publishers.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“The greatest horrors in the history of mankind are not due to the ambition of the Napoleons or the vengeance of the Agamemnons, but to the doctrinaire philosophers. The theories of the sentimentalist Rousseau inspired the integrity of the passionless Robespierre. The cold-blooded calculations of Karl Marx led to the judicial and business-like operations of the Cheka.”
—Aleister Crowley (18751947)
“Gossip is charming! History is merely gossip. But scandal is gossip made tedious by morality.”
—Oscar Wilde (18541900)
“The principle office of history I take to be this: to prevent virtuous actions from being forgotten, and that evil words and deeds should fear an infamous reputation with posterity.”
—Tacitus (c. 55117)
