In 1912, when the first Walter Moberly Elementary School was constructed at Ross Street and East 59th Avenue, the original two-room school became the Walter Moberly Annex, serving K-4.
The new school opened in September 2002, adding grades 4 through 7 to the school. In January 2003, the school expanded with additional classrooms, an administration wing, library, gym, multipurpose room and computer lab.
