Current Politicians in Jhelum
In 2008 the sons of Raja Mohammed Afzal won both of the national assembly seats in Jhelum. There are two national assembly seat in district Jhelum, NA-62 and NA-63. Raja Mohammed Afzal has always been a supporter for the Muslim League Nawaz party which is run by Mia Nawaz Sahrif. However 11 May 2013 was a huge day for Pakistan's history, it was the first time one elected government was standing down after its term had ended. On 11 May 2013 Muslim League Nawaz party in Jhelum won both national assembly seats, the successful candidates where Raja Iqbal Medhi from NA-63 and Chaudhary Khadim Hussain from NA-62.
