The systematic name of this enzyme class is 3-sn-phosphatidate phosphohydrolase. Other names in common use include:
- phosphatidic acid phosphatase (PAP),
- acid phosphatidyl phosphatase,
- phosphatidic acid phosphohydrolase,
- phosphatidate phosphohydrolase, and
- lipid phosphate phosphohydrolase (LPP).
