The Philippine Army (PA), or officially in Filipino Hukbong Katihan ng Pilipinas, is the main branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) which is responsible for land-based military operations. The current Commanding-General of the Philippine Army is Lt. Gen. Noel Coballes, who assumed office since January 21, 2013.
