Musical Style
Phatfish's musical style generally consists of a rock/pop sound, utilising the keyboards and guitars and upfront vocals of lead singer Lou Fellingham. The band have always strived for musical creativity and play tight in a live setting. Phatfish use programming in both a worship, concert or studio setting. The early songs had a much more jazz-funk feel, giving way over time to a rockier more main-stream sound. Lyrically they have sought to unpack biblical truths in an accessible way, without resorting to shallow clichés.

Famous quotes containing the words musical and/or style:
“Hell is full of musical amateurs: music is the brandy of the damned.”
—George Bernard Shaw (18561950)
“On the first days, like a piece of music that one will later be mad about, but that one does not yet distinguish, that which I was to love so much in [Bergottes] style was not yet clear to me. I could not put down the novel that I was reading, but I thought that I was only interested in the subject, as in the first moments of love when one goes every day to see a woman at some gathering, or some pastime, by the amusements to which one believes to be attracted.”
—Marcel Proust (18711922)
