In 2012, it was reported in the Jewish Chronicle that Peter Jenkins had been accused, during a debate at the University of Warwick, of lacing his speech "with subtle attempts at anti-semitism" for stating that: "the idea a just war requires the use of force to be proportionate seems to be a Christian notion and not a Jewish notion.". Sam Westrop, a blogger at the Jerusalem Post, subsequently described Peter Jenkins as a "traditional anti-Semite who thinks of Jews as perpetrating medieval cruelties and amassing influence and power".

Jonathan Sacerdoti and his partner, Davis Lewin of the Henry Jackson Society, lost the debate on a show of hands by a large majority

The Algerians were finally chosen as the only intermediaries who were considered trustworthy both by me and the Ayatollah Khomeini. After many aborted efforts, final success was achieved during my last few hours in the White House.
