Peter Cox (author) - Literary Agent

Literary Agent

Cox gradually started working with authors, developing their book proposals and initially selling them through an external literary agency. This arrangement was superseded when Cox established his own agency. Clients include the worldwide bestselling children’s author Michelle Paver, US Senator Orrin Hatch, Nicholas Booth, television journalist and former MP Martin Bell OBE, science writer Brian Clegg, children’s authors Joe Donnelly, M. G. Harris and Amanda Lees, and former editor of The Sun newspaper David Yelland. Cox is now managing director of Redhammer Management, a literary agency recognized by the Association of Authors’ Agents.

Famous quotes containing the words literary and/or agent:

... my last work is no sooner on the stands than letters come, suggesting a subject. The grandmothers of strangers are crying from the grave, it seems, for literary recognition; it is bewildering, the number of salty grandfathers, aunts and uncles that languish unappreciated.
    Catherine Drinker Bowen (1897–1973)

The childless experts on child raising also bring tears of laughter to my eyes when they say, “I love children because they’re so honest.” There is not an agent in the CIA or the KGB who knows how to conceal the theft of food, how to fake being asleep, or how to forge a parent’s signature like a child.
    Bill Cosby (20th century)
