As of 2001 India census, Periyanaickenpalayam had a population of 22,921. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Periyanaickenpalayam has an average literacy rate of 79%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 84%, and female literacy is 73%. In Periyanaickenpalayam, 9% of the population is under 6 years of age. Coimbatore's Pride company "Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd " is located in Periyanaickenpalayam. It's now becoming a hub for small scale lathe industries. Automobile speedometer manufacturer "PRICOL" is also located here. In recent years the standard of living and lifestyle of the people have improved a great deal.
It is located near the foot hills of Palamalai. Educational Institute Sri Ramakrishna Vidhyalaya for 2000 students is always a Shrine for this place.
