Famous quotes containing the word recognition:
“Productive collaborations between family and school, therefore, will demand that parents and teachers recognize the critical importance of each others participation in the life of the child. —Sara Lawrence Lightfoot (20th century)
“Tragedy, as you know, is always a fait accompli, whereas terror always has to do with anticipation, with mans recognition of his own negative potentialwith his sense of what he is capable of.”
—Joseph Brodsky (b. 1940)
“Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion. General recognition of this fact is shown in the proverbial phrase It is the busiest man who has time to spare.”
—C. Northcote Parkinson (19091993)
