Pennsylvania Route 345 - Route Description

Route Description

PA 345 heads north from Pennsylvania Route 82 on Bulltown Road. It crosses over the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76) and enters East Nantmeal Township, where it intersects Pennsylvania Route 401. PA 345 continues into Warwick Township, where it crosses Pennsylvania Route 23 and the name changes to Pine Swamp Road. It then enters French Creek State Park and crosses into Union Township in Berks County. PA 345 passes by the Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site and continues north and forms the eastern boundary of Birdsboro before intersecting PA 724, with which the route forms a concurrency. After PA 724 diverges, PA 345 is known as Furnace Street and Center Road as it travels north into the village of Baumstown and ends at an intersection with US 422.

Famous quotes containing the words route and/or description:

no arranged terror: no forcing of image, plan,
    or thought:
no propaganda, no humbling of reality to precept:
terror pervades but is not arranged, all possibilities
of escape open: no route shut,
    Archie Randolph Ammons (b. 1926)

I was here first introduced to Joe.... He was a good-looking Indian, twenty-four years old, apparently of unmixed blood, short and stout, with a broad face and reddish complexion, and eyes, methinks, narrower and more turned up at the outer corners than ours, answering to the description of his race. Besides his underclothing, he wore a red flannel shirt, woolen pants, and a black Kossuth hat, the ordinary dress of the lumberman, and, to a considerable extent, of the Penobscot Indian.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
