Famous quotes containing the words penn and/or state:

So little time we live in Time,
And we learn all so painfully,
That we may spare this hour’s term
    To practice for Eternity.
    —Robert Penn Warren (1905–1989)

However painful it may be for me to accept this conclusion, I am obliged to state it: for the black man there is only one destiny. And it is white.
    Frantz Fanon (1925–1961)
