Pengkalan Kubur

Pengkalan Kubor is a Malaysian border town on the Malaysia-Thailand border in the state of Kelantan. Across the Golok River is the Thai town of Tak Bai in Narathiwat province, Southern Thailand.

Pengkalan Kubor is situated within the district (Jajahan) of Tumpat. Pengkalan Kubor is one of the Sub-District ( Daerah) in District of Tumpat. Sub-District of Pengkalan Kubor have office for administrative. Them called Pejabat Penggawa ( Chieftain ) Daerah Pengkalan Kubor its situated at Chabang Tiga Kg. Geting. That office had two person Government Servant. One of them called Penggawa/Chieftain (Leaders of Sub-District Pengkalan Kubor) and another one Assistant of Penggawa. Sub-District Pengkalan Kubor have eight Mukim. Mukim Geting, Mukim Tebing, Mukim Ketil, Mukim Tanjong, Mukim Simpangan, Mukim Jubakar Darat, Mukim Jejulok and Mukim Bendang Pak Yong. The Leaders of Mukim was called Penghulu (Ketua Kampung) or Head Villagers. In Sub-District of Pengkalan Kubor have many interesting palace for example Tengku Anis InfoGallery Sungai Golok at mouth of river Kolok about four kilometre from office Chieftain and Pantai Geting abaout one and half kilometres from there. At the Pengkalan Kubor Town has a tax-free area selling goods, mainly clothes, footwear and kitchenware at very reasonable prices which attracts many tourists. Has taxi stands, bus stands and so on. From Town of Tumpat to Pengkalan Kubor Town about seven kilometres and from Kota Bharu City about twenty three kilometres. Sub district of pengkalan kubor has about 30,000 population. Its 27.9 km square. Has five (5) mosque. Five primary school and one secondary school. One maaktab rendah sains mara at geting.
