Peacocks (clothing)

Peacocks is a fashion retailer based in Cardiff, Wales. The chain is owned by the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group and employs over 6,000 people. There are currently over 400 Peacocks retail outlets located in the United Kingdom and more than 200 located in 12 overseas countries. Over the years, Peacocks has been re-branded as a value fashion store, as opposed to selling home goods and basic clothing. Richard Kirk and former owners of Peacocks Group transformed Peacocks into a major fashion player winning numerous awards, notably, the Best Value Retailer award from Drapers. In January 2012, Peacocks entered administration and was bought by The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group. The group also owns the Jane Norman chain, a fast fashion outlet for women.
