Early Years

Timman was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1972 and spent most of his young life in the region. He graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1995 with a degree in sculptured glass. He began tattooing after being encouraged by friends. "I was going to art school and getting tattooed, so it just made sense. A friend had some equipment and I got nominated by some buddies to tattoo them."

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or years:

The science, the art, the jurisprudence, the chief political and social theories, of the modern world have grown out of Greece and Rome—not by favor of, but in the teeth of, the fundamental teachings of early Christianity, to which science, art, and any serious occupation with the things of this world were alike despicable.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–95)

Chrome: her pretty childface smooth as steel, with eyes that would have been at home at the bottom of some deep Atlantic trench, cold gray eyes that lived under terrible pressure. They say she cooked her own cancers for people who crossed her, rococo custom variations that took years to kill you.
    William Gibson (b. 1948)
