Company Owner
As of August 2012, Rodriguez is an owner in the skateboard brands, Markisa (wallets and accessories) and Andale (skateboard bearings), the latter in partnership with fellow professional skateboarder, Joey Brezinski—Brezinski explained, in relation to Andale:
Originally I was working on the idea and I went through all the legal stuff. I quit my bearing sponsor at the time and I started talking to Paul about it because he had recently quit Silver at that point. I didn't know if he had plans with FKD or not, but I presented Andale to him as something we could do together. He was down and I proceeded to move forward. It took about two years to get to this point, doing a lot of work and a lot of planning.
Rodriguez is also the part owner of the Primitive retail store that is located in Los Angeles, U.S. Rodriguez founded the business in 2009 with three partners, including two friends whom he has known since he was a child. A holiday season party for the Primitive business was held in December 2012 at the new incarnation of the Berrics skatepark/training facility and a promotional video entitled Pain Is Beauty was published on the internet in mid-March 2013.

Famous quotes containing the words company and/or owner:
“It has lately been drawn to your correspondents attention that, at social gatherings, she is not the human magnet she would be. Indeed, it turns out that as a source of entertainment, conviviality, and good fun, she ranks somewhere between a sprig of parsley and a single ice- skate. It would appear, from the actions of the assembled guests, that she is about as hot company as a night nurse.”
—Dorothy Parker (18931967)
“Those Maine woods differ essentially from ours. There you are never reminded that the wilderness which you are threading is, after all, some villagers familiar wood-lot, some widows thirds, from which her ancestors have sledded fuel for generations, minutely described in some old deed which is recorded, of which the owner has got a plan, too, and old bound-marks may be found every forty rods, if you will search.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
