"Paper Plane" is a rock song originally by Status Quo released as a single in 1972 (reaching number 8 in the charts) and on their album Piledriver.
The song was written by Francis Rossi and Bob Young and was one of Status Quo's first successes in their new heavier musical direction.

Famous quotes containing the words paper and/or plane:
“A cow does not know how much milk it has until the milkman starts working on it. Then it looks round in surprise and sees the pail full to the brim. In the same way a writer has no idea how much he has to say till his pen draws it out of him. Thoughts will then appear on the paper that he is amazed to find that he possessed. How brilliant! he says to himself. I had no idea I was so intelligent. But the reader may not be so im pressed.”
—Gerald Branan (18941987)
“It was the most ungrateful and unjust act ever perpetrated by a republic upon a class of citizens who had worked and sacrificed and suffered as did the women of this nation in the struggle of the Civil War only to be rewarded at its close by such unspeakable degradation as to be reduced to the plane of subjects to enfranchised slaves.”
—Anna Howard Shaw (18471919)
