Security Incidents
The plant was put on lockdown about 8 AM (Central Time) on January 15, 2010 due to a potential security situation. The lockdown was caused when a Pantex lab worker reported two men wearing camouflage and carrying rifles exit a vehicle a "couple of miles" from the plant. After a lockdown and a full security response, the men were found to be Pantex employees on their day off goose hunting on private property. No charges were filed.

Famous quotes containing the words security and/or incidents:
“Modern children were considerably less innocent than parents and the larger society supposed, and postmodern children are less competent than their parents and the society as a whole would like to believe. . . . The perception of childhood competence has shifted much of the responsibility for child protection and security from parents and society to children themselves.”
—David Elkind (20th century)
“An element of exaggeration clings to the popular judgment: great vices are made greater, great virtues greater also; interesting incidents are made more interesting, softer legends more soft.”
—Walter Bagehot (18261877)
