Pangani Forest Exploration Trail

The Pangani Forest Exploration Trail is a walkway next to Kilimanjaro Safaris at the Disney's Animal Kingdom in the Walt Disney World Resort, Florida, from which you can see African animals. It is about three-eighths of a mile in length. There are "research students" positioned at most locations to give information about the animals and answer questions.

The attraction was originally known as Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail but the name was changed in August 1998.

Famous quotes containing the words forest, exploration and/or trail:

    The lakes are something which you are unprepared for; they lie up so high, exposed to the light, and the forest is diminished to a fine fringe on their edges, with here and there a blue mountain, like amethyst jewels set around some jewel of the first water,—so anterior, so superior, to all the changes that are to take place on their shores, even now civil and refined, and fair as they can ever be.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    Typography tended to alter language from a means of perception and exploration to a portable commodity.
    Marshall McLuhan (1911–1980)

    And Change with hurried hand has swept these scenes:
    The woods have fallen, across the meadow-lot
    The hunter’s trail and trap-path is forgot,
    And fire has drunk the swamps of evergreens;
    Yet for a moment let my fancy plant
    These autumn hills again: the wild dove’s haunt,
    The wild deer’s walk: in golden umbrage shut,
    Frederick Goddard Tuckerman (1821–1873)
