Pandanadu has 3 Palliyodams (Snake Boats) owned by different "Karas" (locality) viz Keezhuvanmazhy, Vanmazhy and Muthavazhy. Among which Keezhuvanmazhy has the biggest one . Keezhuvanmazhy palliyodam was awarded the mannam trophy in 1996 and second prize in 2008 aranmula utharattati boat race.
