Bernama reports on the 30th December 2011 that a 90 metre temporary road which was in the process of construction at press time will be ready by the 4th of January 2012 after a landslide struck Kilometre 77 of Jalan Sri Aman-Serian, part of the Pan Borneo Highway. Works to repair that section of the road is currently ongoing. A spokesman from the district's Public Works Department said that the landslide could have been caused by underground water.
