Paliwal - Origins

Origins

There are no exact answers to the question of origin, in fact there are two major views on this topic.

The view says that Paliwal come from Pali was a small kingdom in the Thar desert of India that the inhabitants turned into an oasis. At some point in the 13th century, unhappy with what they saw as tyrannical behaviour by the King of Pali, they migrated to the area of Kuldhara in the then state of Jaisalmer. Their origin was identified by the appellation Paliwal. It is said that each new Paliwal family was welcomed into the 84 villages around Kuldhara with a brick and a gold coin from every other family in the village. The brick was used in the building of a house and the gold to start a business or farm. As the community's prosperity was rebuilt, it became the target of Mughal invasions. Apparently in the 18th century there was a raid which resulted in the wells being poisoned by animal carcasses, and which caused this Brahmin community to migrate away again from the Kuldhara area.

Some paliwal clans are also rajput. The Rajput community of paliwals migrated to eastern and western UP. Some of the families migrated to north Bihar.

Paliwal rajputs have a stronghold in politics in northern Bihar. Paliwal Rajputs are the descendants of pandavas. Paliwal Rajputs having Vyagrapath gotra and belonging to Bharatvansh.

Paliwal is only the surname in rajputs they belong to the Palwal Rajput from chandrawansh and being the ancestor of the King Bharat and pandwas some rajputs mentioned themselves as Bharatvanshi. Palwal Rajputs are the great fighters in their own times and they were not associated directly for any of the war. They were traders and love to carry gold, that is the only fact they migrated time to time from one place to another.

They belong to Vyaghra gotra with honest prayer of the Devata Nag. There are so many rare information about the Kuldevi and Kuldevata of Palwar rajputs but shri Krishna is from the same vansh and forwarded it to yadavas. In seemed they belong to Lord Shiva and spiritual in terms of Brahmin Seva and the faith in Nag.

There are some sacred-text available in the royal library of mewar(private library and belongs to royal family of udaipur) at Udaipur about history of Paliwal.

There is one more history mythology in Pali Rajasthan that Palwal rajputs are basically solanki Rajputs, some says that they belongs to pandavas and they are tomar rajputs, some Paliwal Rajputs in UP pray Goddess Kali Mata and Elephant before every good and bad situations.

Where some believe that Kuldevi of the palwal rajputs is Kshemkari (Khimji) mata in Janore, Pali, Rajasthan.

As Solanki Rajputs dynasty vanish after 1100 BC and wadhelas of Gujrat carry the same in the future this rajputs are known by the Raja Pal (last King of Solanki Dynasty) Whose 4th Grand father was Raja Vyahgradeo. further they started writing the Vyhaghra Gotra as their dynasty.

They are mostly based in Pichada Varg (below economy zone) of Uttar Pradesh, not developed due to less educations and there migrations for food and shelter to the various metro cities of India. Need to think about this great historical community fighter.

There is no so-called written history about the community, their family culture, values and also the Kuldevi and Kuldevtas of Palwal which will help them to provide right prayer and blessing of their origin and kuldevi and devtas, will lead to go ahead.Paliwal rajputs have five villages in Gopalganj District(North Bihar). The Paliwal rajputs belonging from these five villages known for their royal life, bravery and political and social power. Five villages comprises SASAMUSA, RAMPUR MADHO, DAUDA RAMPUR, UCHKAGAON and PAHARPUR.

Late Yamuna Prasad Singh was the landlord who developed the SASAMUSA town by constructing a market for farmers and helped an industrialist to establish a sugar mill in SASAMUSA. He is a role model for PALIWAL Rajputs.

The Paliwal caste people migrated nearly in 1825 and situated in some part of Rajasthan, Gujrat, Madhyapradesh, Maharashtra. The Paliwal samaj is divided in subcaste such as Paliwal Brahmin, Paliwal Wani, Paliwal Jains etc. In Madhyapradesh the Paliwal samaj is mostly found in Khandwa, Badwani and Indore, In Gujrat the Paliwal samaj is mostly situated in Rajkot. In Maharashtra the Paliwal Samaj is mostly situated in Jalgaon, Nagpur and Bhandara. The Paliwal Jains are mostly situated in Nagpur and Bhandara in Maharashtra. In Rajasthan the Paliwal people are having well developed in business and in industrial sector.

Famous quotes containing the word origins:

The settlement of America had its origins in the unsettlement of Europe. America came into existence when the European was already so distant from the ancient ideas and ways of his birthplace that the whole span of the Atlantic did not widen the gulf.
    Lewis Mumford (1895–1990)

Compare the history of the novel to that of rock ‘n’ roll. Both started out a minority taste, became a mass taste, and then splintered into several subgenres. Both have been the typical cultural expressions of classes and epochs. Both started out aggressively fighting for their share of attention, novels attacking the drama, the tract, and the poem, rock attacking jazz and pop and rolling over classical music.
    W. T. Lhamon, U.S. educator, critic. “Material Differences,” Deliberate Speed: The Origins of a Cultural Style in the American 1950s, Smithsonian (1990)

The origins of clothing are not practical. They are mystical and erotic. The primitive man in the wolf-pelt was not keeping dry; he was saying: “Look what I killed. Aren’t I the best?”
    Katharine Hamnett (b. 1948)
