Pakistani Martial Arts - Ball Hockey

Ball Hockey

Ball hockey is a game similar or basically the same sport as ice hockey. The only big difference is that ball hockey is without skates, and in ice hockey you need ice skates. The Pakistan national ball hockey team is formed from Canadian Pakistanis. So they were all born in Canada or had links from there. The South Asian community was formed and the sport is growing there. Pakistan competed first time in the World Championships in 2009. They finished 3rd out of 4 in group B only being behind Bermuda and Ice Hockey Giants Finland. They were ahead of Cayman Islands. In the next world championships, they also participated and were champions of their group after defeating France in overtime. The team is developing and getting better.

Famous quotes containing the word ball:

It may be possible to do without dancing entirely. Instances have been known of young people passing many, many months successively, without being at any ball of any description, and no material injury accrue either to body or mind; Mbut when a beginning is made—when felicities of rapid motion have once been, though slightly, felt—it must be a very heavy set that does not ask for more.
    Jane Austen (1775–1817)
