Relationship To Humans
Pacific jack mackerel are fished commercially as well as for sport. They are often caught on baited hook from piers and boats, and also while salmon trolling. Commercial fishing occurs along the coast. Large individuals often move inshore and north in the summer.
Pacific jack mackerel is canned in the same manner as salmon. Fish are cleaned, gutted and finned, then packed into cans with salt and water.

Famous quotes containing the words relationship and/or humans:
“Every relationship that does not raise us up pulls us down, and vice versa; this is why men usually sink down somewhat when they take wives while women are usually somewhat raised up. Overly spiritual men require marriage every bit as much as they resist it as bitter medicine.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (18441900)
“Here we also see: what this divinity lacks is not only a sense of shameand there are also other reasons for conjecturing that in several respects all of the gods could learn from us humans. We humans aremore humane.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (18441900)
