The number one seed has gone on to win 6 of the 16 conference tournaments. The best seed to win in the tournament history is the sixth seed. Notes— From 2002-2005 there were only eight seeds for the top eight teams participating in the tournament. In 2010 with USC on probation, only nine teams participated.
