PA-8600

The PA-8600 (PCX-W+), code-named Landshark, is a further development of the PA-8500 introduced in January 2000. The PA-8600 was intended to be introduced in mid-2000. It was a tweaked version of the PA-8500 to enable it to reach higher clock frequencies of 480 to 550 MHz. It improved the microarchitecture by using a quasi-least recently used (LRU) eviction policy for instruction cache. It was fabricated by Intel.
