In February 1944, Houtermans married Doctor Ilse Bartz, a chemical engineer; they worked together during the war and published a paper. Famous quotes containing the word personal:

The personal right to acquire property, which is a natural right, gives to property, when acquired, a right to protection, as a social right.
    James Madison (1751–1836)

    Willa Cather (1873–1947)

I’m afraid, sir, that I gave up my belief in goblins, witches, personal devils and werewolves at the age of six.
    John Colton (1886–1946)
