Oshawa Bus Terminal is located at 47 Bond Street West in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The building is owned by the City of Oshawa and incorporates a multi-storey municipal parking lot. City Council has adopted, in principle, the Downtown Action Plan, July 2005, which recommends that the bus terminal functions should be relocated from this priority development site.
As this the hometown of General Motors Canada, the bus terminal has murals of the auto industry decorating the face of the structure. Eight panels represent each of GM's corporate values: Heritage, Diversity, People, Innovation, Safety, Environment, Customer Enthusiasm and Quality.
Famous quotes containing the words bus and/or terminal:
“An actor rides in a bus or railroad train; he sees a movement and applies it to a new role. A woman in agony of spirit might turn her head just so; a man in deep humiliation probably would wring his hands in such a way. From straws like these, drawn from completely different sources, the fabric of a character may be built. The whole garment in which the actor hides himself is made of small externals of observation fitted to his conception of a role.”
—Eleanor Robson Belmont (1878–1979)
“All sin tends to be addictive, and the terminal point of addiction is what is called damnation.”
—W.H. (Wystan Hugh)
