Orpheus Reborn
In 2004 original members Gulliksen, McKennes, Sandler, and Martin, along with well-known Boston area musicians Bob Dunlap and Kathi Taylor, formed a new group called Orpheus Reborn. The new band made a point of being necessarily very different from the original, and strived to avoid imitating or "paying tribute" to Arnold's Orpheus since he had asked to have his name disassociated from their effort. Orpheus Reborn concentrated on new material, and performed only a few radically changed arrangements of Orpheus' songs. Although no longer performing as an entity, the group continues to add audio clips, photos and other content to its already extensive web site.

Famous quotes containing the words orpheus and/or reborn:
“Or bid the soul of Orpheus sing
Such notes as, warbled to the string,
Drew iron tears down Plutos cheek,
And made Hell grant what love did seek;”
—John Milton (16081674)
“It would not be an easy thing to bring the water all the way to the plain. They would have to organize a great coumbite with all the peasants and the water would unite them once again, its fresh breath would clear away the fetid stink of anger and hatred; the brotherly community would be reborn with new plants, the fields filled with to bursting with fruits and grains, the earth gorged with life, simple and fertile.”
—Jacques Roumain (19071945)
