Organization For Human Brain Mapping

The Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) is an organization of scientists with the main aim of organizing an annual meeting ("Annual Meeting of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping").

Since the human brain mapping field is cross-disciplinary the members range from neurologists, psychiatrists and psychologists to physicists, engineers, and statisticians.

Its members benefit from reduced rates for the academic journals NeuroImage and Human Brain Mapping and its administrative office is in Minneapolis.

Famous quotes containing the words organization for, organization, human and/or brain:

    I will never accept that I got a free ride. It wasn’t free at all. My ancestors were brought here against their will. They were made to work and help build the country. I worked in the cotton fields from the age of seven. I worked in the laundry for twenty- three years. I worked for the national organization for nine years. I just retired from city government after twelve-and-a- half years.
    Johnnie Tillmon (b. 1926)

    In any great organization it is far, far safer to be wrong with the majority than to be right alone.
    John Kenneth Galbraith (b. 1908)

    A potent quack, long versed in human ills,
    Who first insults the victim whom he kills;
    Whose murd’rous hand a drowsy bench protect,
    And whose most tender mercy is neglect.
    George Crabbe (1754–1832)

    So immense are the claims on a mother, physical claims on her bodily and brain vigor, and moral claims on her heart and thoughts, that she cannot ... meet them all and find any large margin beyond for other cares and work. She serves the community in the very best and highest way it is possible to do, by giving birth to healthy children, whose physical strength has not been defrauded, and to whose moral and mental nature she can give the whole of her thoughts.
    Frances Power Cobbe (1822–1904)
