Open Air Laboratories Network (OPAL) - Climate Survey

Climate Survey

The OPAL climate survey launched in March 2011, coordinated by the Met Office. It asks people to look for contrails in the sky, estimate their thermal comfort, and measure wind using bubbles. The results are helping scientists learn more about the ways we affect our climate, and how we may adapt to it.

Famous quotes containing the words climate and/or survey:

When we consider how much climate contributes to the happiness of our condition, by the fine sensation it excites, and the productions it is the parent of, we have reason to value highly the accident of birth in such a one as that of Virginia.
    Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826)

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of Glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.
    Isaac Watts (1674–1748)
