Onychodactylus rossicus
Fischer's clawed salamander, Onychodactylus fischeri, is a lungless salamander found on the Korean Peninsula, as well as in the Russian Far East and adjacent regions of China. It is also known as the long-tailed clawed salamander.
It has 78 chromosomes in total (27 pairs of microchromosomes, six pairs of medium-sized chromosomes, and six pairs of large chromosomes).
Onychodactylus fischeri is adapted to the upper reaches of small mountain streams. It lives in shady stream sections with many hiding places; it may also be found in underground spring habitats. It is threatened by habitat change, such as tree felling in stream headwaters.
