Older People's Associations

An Older People's Association is a group of older people working to help the members of the group, organise social activities, provide microfinance or conduct other charitable work. These kind of organisations also enable information sharing and peer support.

Famous quotes containing the words older, people and/or associations:

Forty years on, growing older and older,
Shorter in wind, as in memory long,
Feeble of foot, and rheumatic of shoulder
What will it help you that once you were strong?
    E.E. Bowen (1836–1901)

There are people who, like houses, are beautiful in dilapidation.
    Logan Pearsall Smith (1865–1946)

Writing prejudicial, off-putting reviews is a precise exercise in applied black magic. The reviewer can draw free- floating disagreeable associations to a book by implying that the book is completely unimportant without saying exactly why, and carefully avoiding any clear images that could capture the reader’s full attention.
    William Burroughs (b. 1914)
