Ohio State Route 199

Ohio State Route 199 (OH 199) is a north–south highway in northwest Ohio. Its southern terminus is at US 23 just south of Upper Sandusky, and its northern terminus is at US 20 in Perrysburg. The junction of OH 199 and US 20 also serves as the western terminus of OH 795.

The route begins northerly into Upper Sandusky, and then on to Carey, where it joins US 23. The two routes run concurrently from Carey to Fostoria. From there, OH 199 continues to West Millgrove and to US 6, whose route it joins for a mile as it crosses the Portage River. The route then continues north to Perrysburg.

Famous quotes containing the words ohio, state and/or route:

All inquiry into antiquity, all curiosity respecting the Pyramids, the excavated cities, Stonehenge, the Ohio Circles, Mexico, Memphis,—is the desire to do away this wild, savage, and preposterous There and Then, and introduce in its place the Here and Now.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

You know, there’s one thing wrong with living in a palace. It takes so long to get from one place to another. I live in a constant state of exhaustion.
Arthur Ross. The Prince (Jack Lemmon)

By whatever means it is accomplished, the prime business of a play is to arouse the passions of its audience so that by the route of passion may be opened up new relationships between a man and men, and between men and Man. Drama is akin to the other inventions of man in that it ought to help us to know more, and not merely to spend our feelings.
    Arthur Miller (b. 1915)
