Oğuz

Oğuz, is a city and municipality in, and the capital of, the Oghuz Rayon of Azerbaijan Republic. Its historical Armenian name was Vardashen (Armenian: Վարդաշեն). It has a population of 6,876. Vardashen was the birthplace of Movses Silikyan, a famed commander of the armed forces of the independent Armenian Republic (1918-1920).
