The Oakton Classic is an annual invitational marching band competition held at Oakton High School in Vienna, Virginia. The 24th Annual Oakton Classic was held on October 11, 2008, with Westfield High School receiving its second consecutive grand champion award. Traditionally, a college marching band and the Oakton High School Marching Band perform for exhibition. The most recent college bands to perform at the competition were the James Madison University Marching Royal Dukes and the Marching Virginians of Virginia Tech in 2008. October 2, 2004, was named "Oakton Classic Day" in Fairfax County, Virginia in honor of the 20th anniversary of this competition.
