Oaklawn Academy

Oaklawn Academy is a boarding school. It was founded in 1984 by the Legionaries of Christ, a religious institute of the Roman Catholic Church committed to the education and formation of youth.

Originally situated in Cheshire, Connecticut, the academy moved, in 1986, to Edgerton, Wisconsin, in a rural area on the shore of Lake Koshkonong, 25 miles from Madison, Wisconsin, and approximately two hours north of Chicago.

The campus is located just off Interstate 90.

Oaklawn's growing alumni network of more than 3,500 members has assisted in funding the academy's equestrian school, computer laboratory, library, and language laboratory.

Famous quotes containing the word academy:

...I have come to make distinctions between what I call the academy and literature, the moral equivalents of church and God. The academy may lie, but literature tries to tell the truth.
    Dorothy Allison (b. 1949)
