Nyon Energy Park

Nyon Energy Park is a proposed storage and distribution facility currently planned for construction north of Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada. The area is to be a tank farm facilitating the storage and transport of commonly used fuels, such as gasoline, ethanol, diesel, aviation fuel, etc. A liquid natural gas facility has apparently been removed from the plan.

The planned site is expected to be on the east side of the city in a parcel of land bordered by the Welland Canal, Highway 140, and Welland.

Nyon Oil president Gordon Baker has made it clear to Port Colborne city councillors that the facility is not designed to manufacture or refine these fuels, stating: "This is a storage and distributing facility only"

The start of construction/completion date are unknown as of the writing of this article.

Famous quotes containing the words energy and/or park:

The flattering, if arbitrary, label, First Lady of the Theatre, takes its toll. The demands are great, not only in energy but eventually in dramatic focus. It is difficult, if not impossible, for a star to occupy an inch of space without bursting seams, cramping everyone else’s style and unbalancing a play. No matter how self-effacing a famous player may be, he makes an entrance as a casual neighbor and the audience interest shifts to the house next door.
    Helen Hayes (1900–1993)

Is a park any better than a coal mine? What’s a mountain got that a slag pile hasn’t? What would you rather have in your garden—an almond tree or an oil well?
    Jean Giraudoux (1882–1944)
