Number The Brave

Number the Brave is the eleventh studio album by rock band Wishbone Ash. It is the first album in the band's history recorded without founding bassist/vocalist Martin Turner. Turner was replaced by John Wetton, formerly of King Crimson, Uriah Heep, UK and future Asia.

Also featured on Number the Brave is vocalist Claire Hamill as backing vocals, who would permanently join Wishbone Ash on the 1981 tour.

Famous quotes containing the words number and/or brave:

    [The] elderly and timid single gentleman in Paris ... never drove down the Champs Elysees without expecting an accident, and commonly witnessing one; or found himself in the neighborhood of an official without calculating the chances of a bomb. So long as the rates of progress held good, these bombs would double in force and number every ten years.
    Henry Brooks Adams (1838–1918)

    He serveth the servant,
    The brave he loves amain;
    He kills the cripple and the sick,
    And straight begins again.
    For gods delight in gods,
    And thrust the weak aside;
    To him who scorns their charities,
    Their arms fly open wide.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
