Extragalactic Novae
Novae in M31 are relatively common. There are roughly a couple dozen novae to be discovered (brighter than about apparent magnitude 20) in M31 each year. The Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams (CBAT) tracks novae in M31, M33, and M81.
