Norwegian Pearl - Vessel Class

Vessel Class

Norwegian Pearl is the third of NCL's four Jewel-class ships. She was preceded by Norwegian Jewel in 2005, and Pride of Hawaii (now Norwegian Jade) in 2006. She was followed by Norwegian Gem in 2007. Each ship has unique amenities, but has a similar exterior and interior design.

Norwegian Pearl has a similar exterior appearance to NCL's Libra-class ships; Norwegian Star, which entered service in 2001, and Norwegian Dawn, which entered service in 2002. The interior design and amenities, however, are significantly different and merit Norwegian Pearl a Jewel-class designation.

Famous quotes containing the words vessel and/or class:

Frequently also some fair-weather finery ripped off a vessel by a storm near the coast was nailed up against an outhouse. I saw fastened to a shed near the lighthouse a long new sign with the words “ANGLO SAXON” on it in large gilt letters, as if it were a useless part which the ship could afford to lose, or which the sailors had discharged at the same time with the pilot. But it interested somewhat as if it had been a part of the Argo, clipped off in passing through the Symplegades.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Much of the wisdom of the world is not wisdom, and the most illuminated class of men are no doubt superior to literary fame, and are not writers.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
