History

Norton Rose was founded in London in 1794. Norton Rose has grown its international practice, opening offices through organic growth in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

September 2007 - Norton Rose converted to a limited liability partnership structure.

January 2010 - Deacons Australia joined Norton Rose and became Norton Rose Australia.

June 2011 - Norton Rose expands with the addition of two entities: Norton Rose Canada (formerly Ogilvy Renault LLP) and Norton Rose South Africa (formerly Deneys Reitz).

January 2012 - Norton Rose enters Latin America and Central Asia for the first time, and strengthens existing capabilities in Canada and Russia, following the merger with Canadian law firm Macleod Dixon LLP.

In November 2012, Norton Rose announced that it would be joining forces with the U.S. law firm Fulbright & Jaworski, to form Norton Rose Fulbright, effective June 1 2013. This merger was driven by the desire of Norton Rose to enter the American legal market.
