This mission is achieved through a variety of activities, which includes hosting student competitions, such as the 1L Closing Argument Competition and the 2L Mock Trial Competition, as well as through other events including educational seminars, guest speakers who are prominent jurists and trial lawyers within the community, and hosting social events focused on trials and the development of trial skills.

The Trial Ad Society also sends student teams to compete in both the National Trial Competition and the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition.

Famous quotes containing the words trial and/or society:

A trial cannot be conducted by announcing the general culpability of a civilization. Only the actual deeds which, at least, stank in the nostrils of the entire world were brought to judgment.
    Albert Camus (1913–1960)

A society made up of individuals who were all capable of original thought would probably be unendurable.
    —H.L. (Henry Lewis)
