The Future
The City of North Miami and the Miami-Dade County School Board have agreed to build a new North Miami High School on the grounds of North Miami Middle School and build a new North Miami Middle on the grounds of North Miami High. Construction has already begun on the New North Miami Senior High School. It should be ready for the 2009-2010 school year. The K-8 replacing North Miami Middle will be ready for the 2008-2009 school year. As of 2012, the old North Miami Senior High building is no longer standing.
