North American Mission Board

The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is the domestic missions agency of the Southern Baptist Convention.

NAMB was founded in 1997 through a restructuring that combined the Brotherhood Commission, the Radio and Television Commission and the Home Mission Board. NAMB is currently headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia.

In addition to its missionary and chaplaincy efforts, NAMB partners with state and local Southern Baptists to start new churches. NAMB also assists Southern Baptists in connecting with volunteer mission opportunities such as disaster relief, refurbishing sub-standard housing, and assisting in church planting and evangelism efforts.

Famous quotes containing the words north, american, mission and/or board:

So we think of Marilyn who was every man’s love affair with America. Marilyn Monroe who was blonde and beautiful and had a sweet little rinky-dink of a voice and all the cleanliness of all the clean American backyards.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

When you’re dealing with monkeys, you’ve got to expect some wrenches.
