Possible Sequel
Despite the film being critically and commercially unsuccessful, in 2011 Kashyap discussed the possibility of a sequel, with Abraham once again playing the lead character and the story carrying on from where No Smoking left of. He asked fans on Twitter for ideas and what they would like to see. Abraham also expressed interest in making a sequel, to spread more awareness on quitting smoking. Though he is currently busy with his own production.
