No Place for Disgrace is the second studio album by Flotsam and Jetsam. It was recorded between December 1987 and February 1988, and released later in 1988. This is the band's first album release with a major label, Elektra Records. It was also their first album with the bass guitarist Troy Gregory, who had replaced Jason Newsted when the latter left the band in 1986 to join Metallica. Gregory would stay in Flotsam and Jetsam until 1991, when he left to join Prong. No Place for Disgrace was the last Flotsam and Jetsam album to contain material written by Newsted. He also co-write some songs for their 2012 album Ugly Noise, but did not officially rejoin Flotsam and Jetsam.
The album sleeve illustration was painted by Boris Vallejo.

Famous quotes containing the words place and/or disgrace:
“When we read a story, we inhabit it. The covers of the book are like a roof and four walls. What is to happen next will take place within the four walls of the story. And this is possible because the storys voice makes everything its own.”
—John Berger (b. 1926)
“They who have considered our nature, affirm that shame and disgrace are two of the most insupportable evils of human life: the courage and spirits of many have masterd other misfortunes and borne themselves up against them; but the wisest and best of souls have not been a match for these.”
—Laurence Sterne (17131768)
