Nikki Reed - Personal Life

Personal Life

Reed met singer-songwriter and season 10 American Idol contestant Paul McDonald on the red carpet at the premiere of Red Riding Hood in March 2011. The moment they met was broadcast on an American Idol episode as part of a segment that showed the contestants attending the premiere. The pair soon began dating, and moved in together not long after. At the MTV Movie Awards on June 5, 2011, Reed was photographed with an engagement ring. Later that month, McDonald confirmed their engagement in an interview. The couple married on October 16, 2011 in Malibu.

She is close friends with her Twilight co-stars, particularly Jackson Rathbone, for whom she is his child's godmother. Reed is also close friends with Spy Kids actress Alexa Vega, who was Reed's maid of honor at her wedding.

In June 2010, Reed launched an official website that features a blog, where she discusses a variety of subjects, both personal and professional.

Famous quotes containing the words personal life, personal and/or life:

He hadn’t known me fifteen minutes, and yet he was ... ready to talk ... I was still to learn that Munshin, like many people from the capital, could talk openly about his personal life while remaining a dream of espionage in his business operations.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

Close friends contribute to our personal growth. They also contribute to our personal pleasure, making the music sound sweeter, the wine taste richer, the laughter ring louder because they are there.
    Judith Viorst (20th century)

I do believe that the outward and the inward life correspond; that if any should succeed to live a higher life, others would not know of it; that difference and distance are one. To set about living a true life is to go on a journey to a distant country, gradually to find ourselves surrounded by new scenes and men; and as long as the old are around me, I know that I am not in any true sense living a new or a better life.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
