The Nigeria national football team, nicknamed the Super Eagles or Green Eagles, is the national team of Nigeria and is controlled by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). The team ranked 5th in the FIFA World Rankings in April 1994, the highest achieved by an African team. They have won the Africa Cup of Nations on two occasions and have reached the FIFA World Cup round of 16 twice.
