American recording artist Nicole Scherzinger began her career in the early 2000s as a lead vocalist in the girl group Eden's Crush until disbandment. In 2003, Scherzinger signed a record deal with Interscope Records to launch her career with the Pussycat Dolls. Scherzinger, along with Pussycat Dolls, have sold 50 million records worldwide. In 2005, the release of the group's debut album, PCD peaked at number five on the US Billboard 200 and produced the number one singles "Don't Cha", "Stickwitu" and "Buttons". PCD remains Scherzinger's best-selling album to date, with sales of 3 million copies in the United States alone, as of October 2009, and more than 10 million copies worldwide as of the beginning of 2011. In September 2008, the group released their second album, Doll Domination which peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 and spawned international hits "When I Grow Up, "I Hate This Part" and "Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)". As of 2010, the album sold 5 million units worldwide.

Her discography as a solo artist began in 2003 and consists of ten solo singles, sixteen music videos and one studio album. In 2007, Scherzinger released "Baby Love", a single reaching the top twenty in most countries including mainland Europe. The song was originally intended to be included on Her Name is Nicole until the project was shelved. However, Scherzinger released her solo debut album, Killer Love on March 18, 2011. The album was a success in the UK, selling 200,000 copies. The album was preceded by the release of lead single, "Poison" which was a success in United Kingdom and Ireland, where it respectively peaked at number three and number seven becoming one of Scherzinger's best charting solo singles. Killer Love spawned five more singles including the international hits — "Don't Hold Your Breath" and "Right There".
